Seeing the answer
Both are desktop apps that keep their window to your own screen. CTRLpotato also offers Mobile Mirror on Pro and the Sprint Pass: answers and controls on your phone. Reading from a phone is awkward on a small screen and easy for an interviewer to notice, and some coding platforms, such as Coderbyte, detect a second device.

Solvro keeps everything on one screen. The window fades with CtrlShift] and CtrlShift[, hides with CtrlSpace, and sets the operating system's content-protection flag, which excludes it from screen capture and recording.
Check the rules first
Most employers and assessment platforms prohibit outside help in their terms. Solvro keeps its window out of screen captures, but no tool can promise it will never be noticed, and breaking those rules can cost you an offer. Decide for yourself whether that risk is worth taking.
Coding problems
Both tools let you pick your programming language and both do well on hard LeetCode-style problems. The difference is length: CTRLpotato's Lite plan attaches up to 2 screenshots to a question, while Solvro queues up to 20 with CtrlShiftS and sends them together with CtrlEnter. Long problems with examples and constraints on separate screens fit in one question.

Follow-up questions
Reviewers report that CTRLpotato sometimes misses a question, and that on follow-ups it can contradict an earlier answer or lose details from your resume. Solvro's Interview mode keeps the conversation's context until you start a new one with CtrlR, so a follow-up builds on the previous answer, and every answer draws on your resume, the job description and your instructions.
