About Solvro
What is Solvro?
A desktop app for Windows and macOS that helps in live interviews and timed tests. In Interview mode it transcribes the interviewer and writes an answer from your resume and the job description; in Coding Test mode it reads a programming problem and returns the approach, the complexity and code; MCQ mode answers multiple-choice questions; Query mode answers anything else on screen. For the full picture, read what an AI interview assistant is.
Is Solvro the same as KN Solvro or Solvr?
No. Solvro at solvro.in is the AI interview and online assessment assistant. KN Solvro is a student science club at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and Solvr is an unrelated product. They are not connected.
Who is Solvro for?
Candidates in live interviews (behavioural, HR, case and technical), coding interviews and online assessments on platforms such as HackerRank, CodeSignal and Codility. Pages by role cover software engineers, product managers, data scientists and more.
Setup
Which computers does Solvro run on?
Windows 10 and 11, and macOS on Apple Silicon. Download it here. On macOS, allow Screen Recording and Microphone when asked: screenshots and Interview mode need them.
Does it work with Zoom, Teams and Google Meet?
Yes. Solvro is a desktop app, so it runs beside any video call app or browser: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex and others. It also works beside coding platforms such as HackerRank, LeetCode, CoderPad and Codility. See Solvro on Zoom, Teams and Google Meet.
How do I set it up?
Create a free account, install the app, then add your resume, the job description and any custom instructions in Settings. The step-by-step setup guide takes about twenty minutes, including a practice call.
Using Solvro
What are the four modes?
Interview for spoken questions, Coding Test for programming problems, MCQ for multiple-choice tests and Query for anything else on screen. CtrlShiftSpace switches between them.
Which keyboard shortcuts matter most?
| Shortcut | What it does |
|---|---|
| CtrlShiftS | Capture the screen; press again for each extra page, up to 20 |
| CtrlEnter | Send the captures for an answer |
| CtrlShiftSpace | Switch mode |
| CtrlSpace | Hide or show the window |
| CtrlShiftA / CtrlShiftX | Start or stop Interview mode |
| CtrlShiftM | Switch model |
Every shortcut can be reassigned.
Which AI models does Solvro use?
Five: Gemini 3.7 Flash, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Claude Sonnet 5, Claude Opus 5 and Claude Fable 5. The Gemini models answer fastest; Claude Opus 5 and Claude Fable 5 reason more deeply on hard problems. You can switch at any time.
Which programming languages does it support?
More than 10. Set your default language once and switch with CtrlShiftL.
Can it type the code for me?
Yes. Auto-typing types the solution into the window you choose, keystroke by keystroke with varied timing, instead of pasting it. F8 stops it and CtrlShiftY resumes from where it stopped.
Does Solvro speak the answer?
No. It listens to the interviewer and shows the answer as text. You say it in your own words.
How fast are answers?
Within seconds of the question. The Gemini models are the fastest.
Screen sharing and the rules
Does Solvro show up in a screen share?
Solvro sets the operating system's content-protection flag, which excludes its window from screen capture and recording, so it does not appear in a Zoom, Meet or Teams share. It runs outside the browser, so page-level proctoring scripts do not see it. No tool can promise it will never be noticed, and we cannot guarantee its behaviour against every proctoring product. See how screen-share visibility works.
Is it allowed to use Solvro in an interview?
That depends on the employer and the platform. Most employers and assessment platforms prohibit outside help during an interview or test, and breaking those rules can lead to disqualification or a withdrawn offer. Read the rules for each interview and decide for yourself.
Plans and billing
How much does Solvro cost?
Pro is $29 a month, or $19 a month billed quarterly. Pro+, with Interview mode and the Claude models, is $49 a month, or $39 a month billed quarterly. The Eternal Pass is $348 a year and the Sprint Pass is $24 for 7 days. Details are on the pricing page.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every account gets 10 AI answers and 10 minutes of Interview mode, with no card.
Can I pay in rupees?
Yes. Customers in India are charged in Indian rupees; everyone else in US dollars. Payments are processed by Razorpay.
Can I get a refund?
Access is non-refundable once a plan is active, which is why the free trial comes first. Duplicate charges, a plan that never activated and charges after cancellation are refunded in full. See the refund policy.
Your data
What does Solvro do with my resume?
It uses your resume, the job description and your notes only to write your answers. You can view, change or delete them at any time from your account. See the privacy policy.
