Tab sharing vs a desktop window
To connect, Interview Sidekick asks you to select the Chrome tab where the interview runs and share its audio. It does not offer sharing a window or the whole screen, and it lists Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet as its platforms.

Solvro is a separate desktop app, so it works beside Zoom, Teams, Meet or Webex in their desktop apps as well as in a browser, and beside assessment platforms such as HackerRank, LeetCode and CoderPad. It sets the operating system's content-protection flag, which excludes its window from screen capture and recording.
Check the rules first
Most employers and assessment platforms prohibit outside help in their terms. Solvro keeps its window out of screen captures, but no tool can promise it will never be noticed, and breaking those rules can cost you an offer. Decide for yourself whether that risk is worth taking.
Coding questions
Interview Sidekick's screen analysis reads the shared tab and returns a short outline: approach, complexity, a walkthrough. You still write the code yourself.

Solvro's Coding Test mode captures any part of the screen with CtrlShiftS, up to 20 captures for one problem, and returns the approach, the complexity and complete code in over 10 languages. Auto-typing can then type it into the editor with human timing.

Follow-ups and context
Interviews are conversations. When the interviewer says "going back to your last answer", Solvro still has it: the conversation keeps its context until you start a new one with CtrlR. If an answer is too short, you can ask for more. Interview Sidekick treats each question on its own.
Solvro also takes free-form custom instructions in Settings, for example "lead with a one-line answer, then three bullets", along with your resume, the job description and extra context. Interview Sidekick has no prompt settings.
Speed
Interview Sidekick puts speed first, and its answers come back fast but general. Solvro lets you choose: the Gemini models for speed, Claude Opus 5 or Fable 5 for depth, switched with CtrlShiftM.

Our verdict
For most candidates, Solvro is the better choice.
- Full coding solutions with the approach and complexity, not bullet-point outlines.
- It remembers earlier questions, so follow-ups make sense, and you can refine an answer.
- A desktop app that works beside any app, not only a shared Chrome tab.
- Custom instructions and five named models: Gemini 3.7 Flash, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Claude Sonnet 5, Claude Opus 5 and Claude Fable 5.
Interview Sidekick may still suit you if you want the simplest possible browser setup for conversational interviews.
